Something in the air

Despite recent rain today's weather has been spectacular. The sun hasn't the power to evaporate the water in the deep puddles which occasionally run the entire width of the path, but it's been sufficient for us to walk in just base-layer tops.

Near the start of the walk a group of men flying their model aircraft didn't quite share our view on the weather, choosing to remain wrapped up in thick coats. Behind them, Didcot power station puffed huge clouds into existence.

It's a good job the weather's been fine: we continue to be stymied by a lack of public transport connecting with The Ridgeway, meaning that we've had to make this section as a there-and-back walk.

Passing by the model aircraft field again the enthusiasts had packed up and gone home and taken the sun with them. Not a bad October day.
