Coastwalk

Bognor Regis → Goring by Sea

Distance: 11.9 miles
Ascent: unknown
Duration: unknown

Final stretch of green
« Selsey | Brighton »

I knew that much of the Sussex coast is a string of towns. Today I crossed the last piece of open land before the Seven Sisters. On reaching it I discovered it's not the open farmland I'd expected, but rather a golf course. Still, it's good to have variety.

The River Arun reaches the sea at Littlehampton, and I chose to walk a kilometre or so upstream to the swing bridge rather than cross by the ferry (which to be honest was probably not running out of season).

Then in Littlehampton the prom starts. I feel I should capitalise Prom there as I suspect it'll be a continuous stretch of concrete from here to Brighton. I'll find out over the next few days.
